notes

pattern:
Janet Arnold's Patters of Fashion vol 2 - page 37 - robe à l'anglaise

fabric & notions:
wool challis, cotton (lining), Rigilene

general notes:
This gown was made from the basic pattern, based on Janet Arnold, as my red stripe and ball gown, just perfecting the fit a bit more. I think I can safely say after three tries I have this style mastered! :>

I made this gown in 2 days so naturally there are cheats I need to go back and fix, like the machine hem, but overall I’m very happy with it. I want to add some tapes in the skirt to polonaise it as well and some hooks and eyes would be good of course. The hem came out too long and the sleeves need to be properly finished rather than just turned under and hand basted.
