In July 2011 I hosted a Regency card party and despite having a closet full of lovely things I could wear I wanted something new. Silly Jenny.

Thanks to various fabric/patterning issues this outfit was my plan "D". Oy! I used my Lizzie Dress pattern and some red striped poly (shh!) chiffon to make what I lovingly dubbed the "Candy Cane Dress". It's not the dress I originally wanted to make but I used what I had in the stash and I made it in less than 5 days.

In the end I'm really happy with the way this came out. It's simple but I like that. Because of the fabric and the color I can easily dress it up or dress it down. Versatility is a very fun thing!
