Costume Cabinet Promenade - the 19th century

If you look to the right of this picture you will see the inside of one of the triangles. It was easier to see in person, but the silk was lined with a light colored fabric (cotton or linen?) and the ends of the piping were un-finished, just basted down. Pretty cool! The hem is padded and the loops of fabric that stick out are scalloped and in-finished. The Picture by the way is very close to the correct color. It is a rather shocking raspberry pink - gorgeous!
