A close up of the left side boning.
There are two pieces of boning in front (near the dart), one on the side seam and one along the back side seam. Eight of the pieces of boning are ¼" wide and appear to be metal (they are covered completely with an ½" paper cover). This boning is sewn onto the lining by hand with a large zigzag stitch.
